Maria J. Machado (Scopus ID 7202902542) obtained her Ph.D. in Geography from the Complutense University of Madrid on October 24, 2008. Her research expertise lies in an interdisciplinary methodological approach, encompassing geomorphology, sedimentology, biomineralogy, paleohydrology, and historical climatology, applied to the reconstruction of Quaternary landscapes and paleoenvironments. She has extensive experience in stratigraphy, working with sediments and soils in both natural terrestrial environments (fluvial, karstic, hillslopes) and cultural contexts (history and archaeology).
